• It combines the characteristics and high efficiency of cold-state wide abrasive belt grinding together with the high-precision characteristics of traditional grinding wheel type grinder.

• The SAG series is developed and applied to high-efficiency precision surface grinding of 5 very specific categories: HARD, THIN, BRITTLE, SOFT, STICKY. Below materials, but not limited to, fall into the mentioned 5 categories: ceramic substrates, silicon carbide, quartz, crystal, carbon-ceramic, other semi-conductive materials, titanium, zirconium, magnetic materials, and etc.

• The SAG series possesses much higher yield compared to grinding wheel type grinder. In the meantime, it does not sacrifice the precision performance; it is getting very close to grinding wheel type grinder.

• The cold-state and low-stress concentration grinding characteristics will effectively control product deformation and edge chipping. This is crucial for improving the yield rate, increasing efficiency, reducing the overall operation costs, and most importantly reducing the defective percentage. The SAG series offers a  plane accuracy of less than 5um, and surface roughness of less than 0.4um.

• High-precision wide abrasive belt head combined with a hydrostatic rotary table, for efficient and high-precision cold state grinding processing

• The machine bed is made of HT300 castings, optimized through finite element analysis (FEA), and subjected to multiple annealing and aging treatments for high stability.

• High-rigidity hydrostatic rotary table with static stiffness of 400kg/µm, and wear-free with good stability

• The entire machine uses CP-grade high-precision heavy-duty linear guides and ball screws to ensure rotational accuracy

• Jonsen’s self-developed operating software, featuring a user-friendly interface and straightforward operation with minimum human intervention required.

• Quick and convenient abrasive belt replacement, easy switchover between different types&grits of belt.

   Hydrostatic Rotary Table   

The rotary table features high rigidity, high precision, and large load-bearing capacity. It offers a  plane accuracy less than 5um, therefore ensures the processing performance.

   High-precision Wide Abrasive Belt Head   

Equipped with a high-rigidity precision grinding spindle, the runout is within 1µm. The wide abrasive belt head linear speed reaches up to 60m/s with variable speed adjustment (VFD driven). It is flexible to adjust grinding parameters for different materials. Quick wide abrasive belt replacement and adjustment in just under one minute, providing efficient and high-precision cold state grinding processing.

   In-process Measurement System   

Using a high-precision laser in-process measurement system, integrated with Jonsen’s self-developed algorithmic software and closed-loop control, to enable highly automated operation with minimum human intervention required.
